In addition to consumer grade services Preserve Your Past™ offers to galleries, collectors and any other organizations and individuals interested or involved in collection and exhibition of vintage and historic photographs an opportunity to obtain archiving, restoration and replication services of the highest quality.

Our technical expertise, deep knowledge of and understanding of vintage printing and photographic processes, and familiarity with historical periods make each of our projects not only technically but also historically accurate. Our association with historians and researchers allows us to verify, match and recreate any details of historical significance no matter how obscure they may be.

Preserve Your Past utilizes many different techniques to match the quality and historical accuracy while assuring maximum longevity of the replicated images. Through use of careful selection of the many available choices of printing inks and papers, we're able to achieve an unprecedented match of the look and feel of the original document, while correcting the flaws that time and handling may have subjected them to. This makes our work very suited to those seeking to display historically accurate images when the use of the original is not practical due to it's fragility. Examples may include historical research, productions of historical films, documentaries and exhibitions.

Each photograph or document that is brought in for such restoration is carefully scanned at the highest possible resolution to assure the replication of every small detail. All the damages to the image are carefully removed and missing details are restored to protect the appearance of the image. Prior to producing the final print multiple tests are made to match the final output as close as possible to what the undamaged original photograph or document may have looked like in colors and detail. The final restored image is then printed on archival paper that matches the tone and the texture of the original the most.
